Client Scan Terms

These Client Scan Terms apply when you scan your nails through a SizeKit scan link. SizeKit is operated by ZIGGYCOW LLC ("SizeKit," "we," "us"), a South Carolina limited liability company.

What SizeKit does

A nail artist you're working with ("your Artist") sent you a private link so SizeKit can measure your nails. You use your phone camera and a reference coin; SizeKit turns the photos into nail measurements and size codes and delivers them to your Artist. You don't need an account.

What you agree to when you start a scan

By ticking the required box and starting a scan, you confirm that:

• you are scanning your own hands (or the hands of someone who has asked you to help them); and
• you agree to these Scan Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect during a scan (photos of your hands and fingers, the measurements we derive from them, and basic device data), how long we keep it, and your rights — including how to have your scan deleted.

Anyone can be sized with SizeKit, including minors scanning at their Artist's direction.

Scan photos are used to produce your measurements and are kept with your sizing record so your Artist can reference them, as described in the Privacy Policy. We do not use your photos to train our technology unless you separately say yes to that — that choice is its own checkbox in the scan flow, it is never required, and you can change your mind at any time by emailing thesizekit@gmail.com.

What "learning from your scan" means: if you tick the box, your scan photos may be used as training examples for the computer-vision models that power SizeKit — the models that find your nails in a photo, trace their edges, and measure their width. Your photos help teach those models to measure everyone more accurately.

What it never means: we do not use your photos to identify you, we do not use facial or biometric recognition, we do not sell your photos or share them for advertising, and we do not use them for anything other than improving SizeKit's sizing technology.

The training checkbox is for adults only: by ticking it you confirm you are 18 or older. If you are under 18, leave it unchecked — your scan works exactly the same. We never knowingly use a minor's photos to train our technology, and if we learn that a minor's photos entered a training set, we remove them.

Sizing is an estimate

SizeKit produces estimates to help your Artist size you. We aim for high accuracy but do not guarantee that any measurement or size code will be exact or that a product will fit. Fit decisions rest with you and your Artist.

Ordering through a storefront

If you arrived here after ordering from an artist's SizeKit storefront, your purchase itself is governed by the Terms of Sale shown at checkout. These Scan Terms cover only the scan.

Acceptable use

Don't misuse the scanner: no scanning other people without their knowledge and agreement, no attempts to interfere with or reverse engineer the service, and no unlawful use.

The legal frame

The service is provided "as is" without warranties, and our liability to you is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law. These Scan Terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina. Any dispute is resolved by binding individual arbitration in South Carolina (small-claims court excepted), and disputes may only be brought individually, not as part of a class action.
