ZIGGYCOW LLC ("SizeKit," "we," "us") operates SizeKit, a service that lets nail artists size clients remotely. This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and your choices. Questions or requests: thesizekit@gmail.com.
Who this covers
Artists — our paying customers, who hold an account and use the dashboard.
Clients — people an artist invites to scan their nails, or who order from an artist's SizeKit storefront. Clients use SizeKit without an account.
What we collect
From clients, during a scan:
Scan images — photographs of your hands/fingers and the reference coin you place in frame.
Measurements — nail width/length values and size codes derived from those images.
Device & usage data — browser/OS type, approximate timing, and technical diagnostics (e.g. lighting/quality signals) used to run and debug the scan.
Consent choices — which boxes you ticked in the scan flow, when, and under which policy version, kept as our record of your choices.
We do not ask clients to create an account, and the scan itself does not ask for your name or email. A client's name and email usually reach us from the artist who invited them, or from a connected Shopify store (name and email only).
From clients, ordering through an artist's SizeKit storefront: what you ordered, your name, contact details, and shipping address, which we hold so your artist can fulfill the order. Payment is processed by Stripe on your artist's payment account; SizeKit never sees or stores your card details.
From artists (account):
Name, email, and login credentials (handled by our auth provider, Clerk; we store your name, email, and saved brand preferences).
Subscription and payment status (payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store your card number).
If you connect Shopify: your store domain and an access token to read the order data needed to create sizing records.
How we use data
To provide sizing — process scan images into measurements and sizes and deliver them to the inviting artist.
To keep your sizing history — retain a client's scan (including images) so the artist can reference it later. This is part of the service the client is being sized for.
To run accounts, billing, storefront orders, and the Shopify integration.
To keep the service reliable and secure — error monitoring and diagnostics. This includes our team looking at individual scans (including scan images) when needed to debug a problem, verify quality, or investigate an issue a user reports. This operational access is part of running the service and is separate from model training, which has its own opt-in below.
To improve our technology — see "Training our models."
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own advertising or marketing.
Training our models
We improve our sizing technology in two separate ways:
Scan images are used to train our models only if the person scanned has given separate, explicit opt-in consent. This consent is a distinct checkbox in the scan flow — it is never bundled into using the service, and your sizing works whether or not you give it. The opt-in is for adults only (18+), as stated in the Scan Terms. You can withdraw this consent at any time by emailing thesizekit@gmail.com, and we will remove your images from future training.
Anonymized measurements — numeric measurement data with all identifying information removed, so it can no longer be linked to any individual — may be used to improve our models. Once truly anonymized, this data is no longer personal data.
We never knowingly use images of anyone under 18 for training, and if we learn that a minor's images entered a training set, we remove them.
Who we share data with
We use trusted service providers to operate SizeKit. Each handles data only to provide its service to us: Clerk (artist authentication), Stripe (subscription payments; storefront checkout on the artist's Stripe account), Vercel (app hosting and image storage), Neon (database hosting), Modal (machine-learning processing of scan images), Sentry (error monitoring and diagnostics), Resend (scan-link and account emails), and Shopify (store integration, for artists who connect it). We may also disclose data if required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
How long we keep data
Active accounts: we keep an artist's account data and their clients' scans (including images) for as long as the artist's account is active — this is the paid service the artist relies on.
Client erasure: a client can ask us to delete their scan and images at any time (thesizekit@gmail.com), and we will, even while the artist's account is active.
Account closure: if an artist cancels or closes their account, we keep their data read-only for a six-month grace period (so they can return or export), then delete the scan images and identifiable client data. We may retain fully anonymized measurements, and we keep the artist's own account record (email, settings, and any locked-in rate) so a returning artist can pick up where they left off.
Backups and logs rotate on our providers' standard schedules; logs avoid personal-data values by policy.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live (including the EU/UK under GDPR and California under CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your data, to withdraw consent, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these, email thesizekit@gmail.com. Artists can also manage much of this in the dashboard (update email, disconnect Shopify, delete individual customers and scan links). Clients can email us to access or delete their scan data. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Cookies and local storage
Clerk session cookie — required to keep artists logged in.
Browser storage — the scanner stores your selected coin for the duration of a scan; the dashboard stores small preferences (e.g. dismissed notices and last-seen notifications).
Error monitoring — Sentry may set technical identifiers for diagnostics.
We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Children
SizeKit's accounts and image-training are for adults (18+). The sizing service itself may be used by a client of any age at an artist's direction, but we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and we never use a minor's images for training. If you believe a child's data has been collected improperly, contact thesizekit@gmail.com.
International data transfers
We are based in the United States and our providers process data in the United States. Where we transfer personal data from the EU or UK, we rely on our providers' data processing terms, which incorporate the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (and the UK Addendum) where applicable.
Security
We protect data with encryption in transit and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to safeguard your information.
Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by a new effective date and, where appropriate, additional notice. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
SizeKit
